Nice  :thumb:

Damn your car looks amazing!

Only had my a500 for 8 months but your picture is tempting me to have a look at a 595!  >:(

If you do go have a look at a 595, it'll only make you want one more  :thumb:

Don't give me this - I've had 500c nearly a year and resisting EVERY temptation to upgrade to a 595c.

If you're worried about wanting one Ed, whatever you do don't go for a test drive! At that point, resistance is futile :thumb:

Now that I'm a grown up I drive a sensible grey 595 Competizione with grey leather sabelt seats and yellow brake calipers. It's jolly nice! It's got a name - ' Razzogrigio' Now with a custom S/S group N style exhaust, black Esseesse wheels and a GTT induction kit, all sitting on Eibach springs.

You are getting a good mpg - 5 more than I am.

My 595 seems to be down on my previous NP500 to the tune of 4mpg - I'm not sure if it is because it is only just run in or if the 595/SS state of tune is more thirsty?

To be fair, that was after a 100 mile round trip across the Peak District....I'm probably only averaging around 33-34, and it seems little different to my old one, although that did have the TMC box fitted :thumb:

Just come out for fish and chip in Scarborough,  and averaged 43.2 on the way here....guess I need to put my foot down

Thats some good mileage you've got there Cliff! I tried not to use the old one too much, but I still averaged around 1k a month...guess this one could end up being a little more ;D

I suppose these Sabelts are standard fabric? I am aware the leather Sabelts are £1000 extra.

Having switched from 500 to 595.

In your opinion would getting A500 upgrades on suspension, monza, brakes and remap still lack the experience of a 595?

Im in 2 minds whether to splash the cash on upgrades or pay slightly more a month for a 595.

The way I see it, those upgrades will cost the best part of £2.5k including fitting. My 595 costs less than £1k a year more than my A500 did...take into account resale, warranty, and all the other extras that are standard on the 595, I'd say it makes much more sense than uograding your existing car :thumb:

And yes Ed, they are the standard Sabelts. I personally feel that for the amount of leather you get on them that they aren't worth the money ;D

I was happy to pay the extra for the "leather" Sabelts because I think they look, smell and feel a lot classier. Whilst there isn't a huge amount of leather on the front seats, they are mainly Alcantara which is stylish, grippy and comfortable whatever the weather, the rear seats are full leather with come with split backrest & headrests.

To me the standard Sabelts look a bit after-market as the front and rear seats look like they come from different cars. Had they ditched the red stripes on the rear seats and matched the fabrics front and back a bit better it would have looked a whole lot more co-ordinated.
