I have MA5 4LEX on my Spider with some imaginative spacing - a bit of cheap fun but some people see it as a crime against humanity!

it should be F4 BSS to meet the reg's instead of F4B SS ..... basically the B is in the wrong place.

    Its illegally spaced.

If you meet the wrong copper on the wrong day he could give you grief for it.

i had L50 OKH spaced as L500 KH on my old cinq sporting, i got stopped, warned but they conceded that my plate was more memorable to anyone reading it, suggested i keep a proper plate in the boot just in case. that was 10 years ago, don,t know if there still so reasonable

    Plate looks really good :)

Most police will be reasonable, giving verbal advice for a number plate like that. There is a posibility of a £30 fine. Worst case would be DVLA take the plate back off you. But rest assured a plate like that will not get you into any big trouble due to the letters been legal font and not mis-represented. ANPR cameras will still read that fine.

I was lent an Elise for a year with a private plate incorrectly spaced and my local garage seemed to think it was an MOT failure, the tight sods.

As it happened, I'd scraped it along the ground a bit, so was ready for some "show" plates from the Sunday market.  The garage weren't bothered about the chips or cracks, just the spacing.

I heard also that unless the number plates have the postcode at the bottom of where the plates were made, it will fail an MOT too  ::)
