Title: Our Little trip to York

Hi, Me, Im-mia and Lloyd had a quickly organised day out to York. We called at the Highwayman cafe on A64 whre we had bacon butty's and tea (John (im-mia) pulled the old they dont accept card trick so i got the butty's in! (jokin john) Then we had a run to SG Petch (and saved a horse on the way) to look at the 500. To which we all thought "we own the best Abarth"
Got to say Pearl white is gorgeous and the grey is a lot better than. I thought the 10 spoke alloys look the best and i dont like the red leather.
oh and my car was embarrasinly (correct me if i've spelt that wrong) dirty!!!!

nice pics :) - glad you got one where you can see my scorpion .... the pic i took of it is all blurry.
the little half day out was a really really good laugh :)
with reguards the A500, i thought the exterior was very nice and my personal favourate colour is the gray.... that really is nice!
however... i wasnt keen on the interior... i personally think that the AGP's interior is nicer .... as for the red seats.... didnt like them either, especially with the black suround and white dash .... very strange i though.
however apart from that i was pritty inpressed with it. its a pitty jonny wasnt there to blag a test drive in it.... oh well
all in all a really really good day.... got a LOT of attention driving in the convoy which was pritty funny too ;)

not to mention matilda 5 1/2 months....
new hollywood movie coming, 3 abarths and a baby
she will have petrol in her blood starting at that age!!

the women in the cafe were pretty impressed by a bloke out with a baby and no mum in control of things
dom was also a star!

Thanks Dom, you have re-assured me of your manlyness ;D Now back on topic, the cars look good together but please tell me the 3 of you didn't go driving with the foglights on when it wasn't foggy. (sorry, one of my pet hates!!)

No just though it might look good for a photo, and i've never had mine on so i was just checking they worked.

yea my mate got done for it and fined 30 quid. - back in his chav days :S - i had nothing to do with him then by the way.... he may have even been cought 2ce for it i think.
anyway back on topic. glad you like the photos. doms really got a good camera.
im starting to build up a right collection of photos with abarth GP refferences .... so if anyone requires any for anything let me know :P

iv been done for fog lights 4 times!! - needless to say I dont drive with them on any more! (was over 4 yrs ago!) John, you have just reminded me, still have not posted that scorpion. You still want it?

shoot...... i forgot about you living in bloody york... sorry mate!! to be honest it was a last minute meet hence is wasnt announced.
we've been working on the idea of meeting up monthly. i think where going to go to more adventerious places than york ... (we only went there to see the A500)
the idea of going to the east coast has been mentioned for another meet.
anyway when iv sorted that out we will announce it.... as iv said before the more the merryer.
glad you like the pics even though dom couldnt be arsed to clean his car :P

I'll be keen on a meet. Especially when I have my A500, will be another abarth for the group! Would be interesting to see how my GPS stands up against the AGP!!!

you never said what BHP/touque that GP was kicking out.
anyways i think most would much rather see the a500 at meets :) should be good to get a couple of you a500 nuts into the meets! =D
anyway back to the topic i will put up some photos tomorrow... for some reason my program i was used to resize photos has stoped working :S

It's aparantly running 170BHP and 314 lbs/ft of torque. I haven't had it on a RR though so can't say for definate. The A500 will be slower, and the AGP I test drove felt slower. Diesel torque is crazy!!!
We'll have to have a meet early to mid march just after I've picked it up!!!
I am quite liking the scorpion. Mine is coming with a red one on the bonnet and I'm uudecided to if I like it or not, will leave it on to start with and see how much abuse I get off mates for it!!! :P

lol, well the scorpion i got is VERY similar to the ones on the 500 however, they have rounded edges whereas mine has square edges. as for you mjet now that is a REDICULAS amount of touque lol! surely thats not good on the gearbox!?
as for a little meet in march im sure that will happen - also dont forget the one arranged by magicmole in april :)
