Old thread but I'd really like to see a seperate 'Was it you?' section where we can start new threads for spotted Abarths. It's much easier to keep track of the responses and easier for members to notice they have been spotted without looking through the 1 thread we've got. Just an idea.

Now there are so many owners/members  maybe separate regional sections for the forum would a good idea  ??? especially for organising local meets etc...  ;)

I think that would create a north south divide, and plus Lloyd goes to ALL events

As there have been two suggestions posted recently I just thought I'd come back with our thinking on them:

Old thread but I'd really like to see a separate 'was it you?' section where we can start new threads for spotted Abarths.

Despite the larger numbers of owners on the road now we simply don't think it’s yet necessary. There would be swages of non-answered, single post threads or threads going off at tangents due to other 'spots'. This means people would have to trawl through multiple pages of threads, opening each one in turn to see if it was them, resulting in many more clicks than the current solution. So for now the current format is going to continue.

Now there are so many owners/members maybe separate regional sections for the forum would a good idea  ??? especially for organising local meets etc...  ;)

This is certainly something we may have to see happen when we have a much wider membership base, and I mean 7 to 8 times the size, like some of the really big car forums. I think the general target would be approx 15-20 members turning up to the majority of events, in the majority of areas.

The nice thing about having them all together now though is there is no exclusion and people from outside of an area will see a meet and think 'I've got nothing on, why not?' which they may not if it was posted elsewhere. So again, the current format will continue for the foreseeable future.

Of course all suggestions are welcome and will be given proper consideration

I know this is an old thread but it seemed better to post a suggestion here, rather than start a now topic. :)

I've been here a few months now and I've found it quite difficult to find photos/videos.

Would it be possible/plausible to have a separate Gallery Lounge, just for photo and video threads?

New to the forum but I have a few suggestions.

-A dedicated section within the forum for 'Cars for sale' and also 'Parts for sale', a much simpler way of browsing and advertising than the current classified at the top, I would suggest a minimum post count of maybe 20 before being allowed to post new classified threads which weeds out the spammers/scammers and a compulsary location and contact number in every advert.

-Also a section for 'Spotted Abarths' instead of one long thread, I know I would be much more inclined to post and browse in a dedicated section.

I am a long term member of quite a few forums (5years+) and found that these formats always work best.
other than that the forum is  :thumb:

It might be polite for a moderator/admin to message a user to inform them why some posts have been removed when they didn't appear to break any of the rules other than perhaps viewing sarcasm as part of antagonising....
It's not like this is pistonheads where there is so much traffic the mods don't have time to message while moderating.

I don't get offended easily, but I found your 'joke' about being speshal  rather inappropriate
I assume someone else thought the same

It is my understanding that you have been contacted and advised why your post was removed.
