The Abarthisti Forum has moved to new servers
« on: April 15, 2010, 02:22:45 pm »
The Abarthisti forum has moved to new, more powerful servers.

We'd outgrown our old home and something with a little more oomph was needed to cater for our bandwidth and disk space needs.

All posts, avatars, and uploaded photos have been transferred to the new server.  However, a handful of posts (perhaps 10) were made on the cusp of the migration, and these we have been unable to transfer.  If this was one of yours, please accept our apologies - when moving 55,534 posts, 3,391 topics and 724 users, a few 'casualties' are sometimes unavoidable.

If you notice any problems, please drop myself or one of the moderators a line.

Thanks for your understanding.

I've not been happy with the level of performance we've been getting from our current servers, so we're off to a new home.

Late tonight, I will begin the transfer to new servers.  Once I start the transition, the current servers will be disabled to ensure no posts are lost in the process.  You will be automatically directed to the new servers once the process is complete, although the speed with which this happens will depend on your individual ISP's update policies.  For most people, everything will have updated by the time you log-in tomorrow morning, although for a few people, the process will take a little longer.  You don't need to update your bookmarks or make any changes at your end, though.

    Thanks for your patience.

good work Alex, I suspect with the fast growing community you are in need of some more power, maybe you should talk to Abarth for one of their engines  ;D

The move is complete and, if you're reading this, you are already using the new servers.

If you notice any issues, please drop me a line.

Well, that wasn't a good start.

My apologies to anyone who had trouble accessing the forum this morning.  There may still be some residual flakiness while we check everything over.
