cookie issue ?
« on: March 24, 2015, 08:37:55 pm »
Hi guys
Loving the forum but 1 thing is driving me insane, every time I reopen a thread it opens back at the start rather than where I was last up to.
Been on various forums for years and never had the issue before. Happening on both my devices. Checked other forums today and its fine which suggests its not a device only issue
Cookies are enabled so it can't be that
Any ideas how I resolve it please ? Some threads are long and navigating is dull :-)

Are you clicking the thread title or the last post button?

OK, so last post isn't great either. I want the last post I read. If I'm half way through 100 replies I won't want post 100 and to scroll back or post 1 and scroll forward I want post 50.

Does this function exist or do I just need to accept that the forum oftware isn't great  and get used to scrolling ?

    Hi there,

You'll have to scroll but you can always bookmark the ones you already read or save them in your browser history so you know where you left off:)

    Have a nice weekend,

If you click the 'show unread posts since last visit' option at the top of the page under your username, then at the side of all the posts that come up there is a 'new' icon. Click that, and it'll take you straight to the first new post since you last checked the thread.  :thumb:
