    Hello there,

Thank you for the kind words.

The Abarth 595 Competizione (180) is a great car to drive, lots of Torque from 2krpm+ and it pulls hard all the way to the redline. Handling is crisp, it could do with the optional extra LSD but the TCS system can't be turned off fully so I don't think there is a huge advantage having one. The TTC system does a good job of acting like an LSD, I have driven an Abarth with the LSD package as well.

Previous car was a Honda Integra Type-R (DC5), a 200+ bhp front wheel drive car with an LSD praised for being one of the best handling fwd cars you can buy in it's day and the Abarth is as capable if not more capable than that car. It certainly is cheaper to run, insure and is physically lighter. I had no regrets switching to the Abarth just for the sound alone.

The suspension is superb, just the right amount of bounce and just the right amount of stiffness, the Eibach springs are progressive making for a comfortable but firm ride. The Brembo brakes are also progressive, giving you good control over braking force.

My only concern on them is the standard tyres, if you have the Pirelli P-zero Nero, I would change them right away, they were useless for me and my fast road driving style, newer models however come with Michelin PS3's, they are much better suited to the power levels of the Competizione. I have Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's, the same as they run on the 695 Biposto and I find them perfectly suited to the car, wheel spin is reduced to minimal.

I still haven't found a car I like enough to replace it, sure there is more powerful but in terms of character, there is little out there that can match it :)

    Enjoy,
    P.

+1 on the Pirelli P-zero Nero tyres, I have them on my car at the moment and I must say they do not inspire confidence, even when fully warmed up the grip could best be described as sketchy and in the wet they easily spin up and torque steer all over the place even under moderate throttle inputs.

Michelin pilot sports is the way I'm going when the pirelli's die  :thumb:

Hi Porthos, Thanks for all that info, I myself had a type -r loved the car at the moment i drive a skoda vrs mk2 that has been lowerd and on a stage 1 which is giving me 215 bucks, and its quick, but its a old car now, 5 years, so its time for a change, tried the 595 competizone, but not long enough for me to really get to grips with, i will ask for another drive need to see what I can do properly, agree with the tyres i run Michelin p3s, that are the best I've ever had on a car, thanks again mate, ill let you know how i get on with my next drive, cheers again.

Porthos, it looks amazing. Loved it !!
I 'm so jealous of the "private registration". I wish i could do it too but it's not available in my country. :/

By the way , can you post as couple of pics with the NRG Titanium Washer Kit ?? (please :?)
    Thanks !

    Thank you !!!!  :D :D
It's so awesome, I loved the pics.

    Any installation tips ?
Is there anything "weird" regarding installation or you just unscrew the standard and replace them with these ?
Also, the product code is the FW-200TT or the FW-300TT ??

Small update, I rarely get time to do anything Abarth related since getting a puppy!

However, I managed to fit a new set of Alloys, Scuderia Competizione! Basically a special edition Fondmetal 9RR.

Amazing fitment, practically OEM, 17" x 7" ET35 wrapped by some Goodyear Eagle F1 ASYM3's, saves 2kg per corner over the OEM Formula Titanium wheels, lovely bit of unsprung weight saving which has improved acceleration and handling, the ride is much much softer and directional changes are improved.

Tyre size is same as stock (205/40R17) ?
The center caps are the one that TMC sells ?

    Stock tyres, yes.

No, these caps came straight from Scuderia73 in Italy.

I did ask TMC about getting them for me, but I went straight to the supplier (Scuderia73) and they did me a really good deal which included 16 bolts, 4 metal valve's, 4 Abarth centre caps and an awesome Scuderia73 T-Shirt :)

Although the OEM 'SS' wheels are hard to beat, the Fondmetals look great Ian!
2kg saving in unsprung weight is fantastic, too!
    Are they forged?

The SS wheels are indeed stunning, especially in Hyper Black!
But I agree, the 9RR's in this Titanium Gloss really do look superb on the car, it matches the OEM titanium trim.

They are not forged from a 'superalloy' like my USDM Hyper Blacks, the 9RR's are low pressure cast + heat treated. Which is the same method as the OZ Ultraleggera's on the Biposto.  :thumb:
