Infotainment 7 inch question
« on: June 08, 2020, 07:14:51 pm »
Apologies another question.

The 7 inch infotainment with Nav, current version. How do you turn the radio function off?

I’ve set it so that the entire unit stays off on startup but as soon as I turn the unit on the radio starts? I never listen to the radio unless in traffic jams. I require the volume for the Nav and even if I have muted it immediately (pain in the backside anyway)  if I touch the volume control the radio starts up again.

Read the book, called the garage and nothing.

Surely you can tell the unit to turn ‘media’ off?

    Update,

Found a work around but not ideal. Asked it to select my Bluetooth phone for media and then deleted all songs and playlists off my phone.

Have I missed something really obvious?

I take it I’m either being an idiot or it's not possible.

Driving me up the wall. It’s the little things that are annoying!

Update. New approach. The phone connection took too long.

As this system doesn’t have the aux 3.5mm cable input  I can’t just put a blank jack in place. I’ve had to think differently. Magnificent update btw Abarth.  ::)

I have now reduced myself to recording several hours of silence to a USB Nano-stick to force the system to choose that rather than the bloody radio. A new blank USB registers but as soon as it realised there are no files the radio comes back on grrrrrr.

6 hours of blissful silence recorded as a single MP3 Track.  Put a false jack in the microphone input on the laptop, so it truly was silence.

    Fixed.

An off button would have been easier.
