New Ford Focus RS - Evo Preview
« on: February 03, 2015, 03:39:06 pm »
I have been a big fan of the Ford RS range for years (owned 2 Fiestas in the past), but this new one really looks like it's going to be a beast and not so.... how shall we say it...... 'In your face'. Producing north of 320bhp and a 4WD system.....  :o Really reminds me of the Evo X, not a bad thing as I love those too.  ;D

That will definitely be a serious piece of kit although I can't quite decide whether I really like the looks of it or not ??? Looks well priced at around £30k I believe but academic in my case - in any case, compared to our Abarths they will be as common as muck ::) not envious of course
Nov 2012 A500, officiano red, 17' petals but otherwise standard (wife beats me severely about the head and body if I talk about customising but I did buy a logoed folding umbrella!) I just love it - the car that is! well, and the wife!!

I'm still all for the new civic type r over that.
My mate has a rs focus, very nice and they seem to loose very very little in value as well which is good if you have one!

I'm with you there but maybe I'm biased - my eldest son has one of the early ones from when they first came out :) Fabulous car but very hard to drive one slowly-as it really comes on song as revs go through 4.5k to 5k becomes addictive ;D

Ha, I had a DC5 as well previously! Sold it in favour of my 595 :)

Ever see a blue DC5 with V3 TEG on it? that was me :D

If tax and running costs were a little better on them I'd have another in a heartbeat. Mine was blue also

Personally think it is ugly.... very bland. Will be an insane piece of kit though.

I think this is the first time I have ever stuck up for a Ford but you couldn't be more wrong.
A 2011 Focus RS was £27870 OTR and you probably would of got a couple of quid off if you haggled hard enough.
That same vehicle with 20K on the clock today has a trade value of £23200. That's not a bad devaluation in almost 4 years.
I purposely stayed away from the value of the latest version RS500 which in both actual value and percentage wise has lost less.

I agree with the posts above.

Serious bit of kit but I'm not drawn to how it looks - I come to the same conclusion on most of the sub-£30k cars about at the moment.
