New Mazda 3
« on: March 01, 2014, 11:35:58 am »
I drove the new Mazda 3 the other day and was quite surprised at how good it actually is. Not going to set the world alight but if you need a comfortable cruiser then you could do a lot worse.

Little bit out of touch - are they still Ford based?  Side profile is a little Guilietta-esq.

Any news on the Alfa/Mazda Roadster?  We are still trying to work out if a 4c is for us but that's not easy at the mo.

I don't think Ford have any of Mazda now but I could be wrong.
The Spider / MX-5 is due in the next 18 months with apparently the Spider coming first. There is a "Clay model" on the Alfa stand at Geneva and I think it might be the spider.

Of the Japanese brands, Mazda have by far the "best" range of cars, in my opinion. New 3 and 6 are cracking looking cars, and by all accounts are among the best to drive in their respective classes. the SkyActiv engines are an impressive engineering achievement, too.

I am really looking forward to the MX5/Alfa Spider duo. Promise so much.
